The DOBOT Magician Basic Model is a kid-friendly, multifunctional desktop robotic arm able to perform numerous creative and educational functions. Targeted to both children and adults, the DOBOT Magician is user-friendly and safe. Still, it is affordable and compact, fitting almost any desks. It dramatically improves teaching efficiency providing an immediate yet pleasant learning experience to anyone. The great hard- and software interplay along with the overall excellent performance earned it the CES 2018 Innovation Award and iF DESIGN AWARD 2018.
The DOBOT Magician Basic Model is a cost-effective 4-axis desktop robotic arm. The positioning repeatability of up to 0.2 mm is a remarkable feature for the price. The arm is engineered with an accurate stepper motor with a gear reducer for smoother operation. It can lift objects weighing up to 500 g. With 250 g of workload, the rotation servo joint can reach a maximum speed of 480°/s, all other joints feature a maximum speed of 320°/s.
The DOBOT Magician supports secondary development through more than 20 programming languages and 13 programmable I/O ports, allowing for a variety of improvements and applications.
The DOBOT Magician Basic Model supports a variety of end-use tools. According to the task, you can simply replace the tool, teach the arm how to move, and start working. Indeed, it can easily turn into a 3D printer, a gripper, a drawer, and more.
The gripper module works in a range of 27.5 mm. It features a pneumatic drive type with a force of 8N. The suction cup has a diameter of 20 mm and a pressure of -35 Kpa.
The arm is capable of picking and placing products of up to 500 g with high precision.
Able to print with PLA-type materials, the DOBOT Magician creates custom models with a resolution of up to 0.1 mm.
These Pokèmons are a great example. We gotta catch ‘em all!
The pen holder supports up to 10 mm in diameter. It is capable of writing and drawing anything you want, providing high design flexibility.
The DOBOT Magician robot arm has a maximum reach of 320 mm, which allows performing a variety of different tasks. The axis movement varies from joint to joint. The base rotates within a range of -90° to + 90°, the rear arm rotates from 0° to +85°, the forearm from -10° to +95°, while the rotation servo from +90° to -90°.
As a 3D printer, it features a print volume of 150 x 150 x 150 mm.
The DOBOT Magician Basic Model provides several controlling modes. Suitable for both newbies and experts, it features easy-to-use controls (drag & drop interface) as well as more advanced ones (serial port SDK and motion control interface). You can operate the arm via PC, mobile APP, Voice, Leap Motion, Gesture, Vision, and Mind Control EEG. This means you can control it by Programming, APP, Mouse, and more. It can be developed with programming language, ROS, PLC, Microcontroller and Arduino.
The machine includes some programmable and extensible I/O Interfaces, including UART, Reset, Stop, 12V, 5V, and two I/O.
The DOBOT Magician robotic arm works with several applications, including DobotStudio software, Repetier Host, GrblController3.6, and DobotBlockly (Visual Programming editor). It also supports a couple of SDKs (Software Develop Kit), namely communication Protocol, and Dobot Program Library.
